- Students taking the listening comprehension test will need their own set of earphones to work at their own pace.
- To ensure accurate assessment results, teachers should closely monitor and control the timing. Please note that the following timings are for the tests only and you will need to allocate approximately 10 extra minutes for administration.
- Mathematics - 45 minutes
Listening - 40 minutes (students will need their own set of headphones)

STAR -
- To help students get familiar with the online assessment, teachers can explain the online screen options available to them shown below.
Online Screen Options for students
- Students can choose online options, including changing the font, text size to make it larger or smaller, and background theme.
- Students can see all of the questions at a glance and monitor their progress using the Question Preview feature.
- The online timer is available to support students during the assessment, however, it is important to note that it will not stop the test at the time allowance.
- If a student needs to stop their assessment and continue it at another time, they can click on the "Continue Later" button from the top menu and can resume their assessment using the same token code.
- When taking the assessment, the student's token will remain active until they click the 'Finish' button. This means that students can log in again with their token and continue their test from where they left off. However, it is important that students click the Finish button at the end of the test to ensure their data is saved.
There are three token status messages that students may encounter, click here to find out more
Registered: This means the student has been assigned to the assessment but has not yet started it.
Started: This indicates the student has started their assessment but has not yet clicked on the Finish button. The same token can be used to resume the test and complete it.
Finished/Closed: This means the student has clicked on Finish and completed their assessment. They may or may not have responded to the post-assessment feedback questions.
